The structure of the firm is composed by the partners Ermenegildo Guilaze, António Albano Silva and Nelson Sadoque Manhice who, among other activities, are responsible for the activities mentioned below:
Ermenegildo Guilaze
Ermenegildo Guilaze is a senior partner and founder of the firm. He is Master in Economic Law by the Eduardo Mondlane University, in cooperation with the Faculty of Law of the Lisbon University, and he is graduated in Laws by the same University. He is a lawyer and he is enrolled in the Mozambican Bar Association since 2009.
He served as President of the Disciplinary Council of the Mozambican Bar Association from 28 June 2023 to 8 July 2026. During his term of office, he coordinated, among other activities, the preparation, publication and launch of the following books: “Manual de Deontologia do Advogado” (2024), “II Jornadas de Ética e Deontologia Profissional – Relatório” (2025), “Deliberações 2017-2023” (2025) and “Despachos e Deliberações 2023-2025” (2026). He is an Agent of Industrial Property, enrolled in the Institute of Industrial Property.
He is the author of the book “Análise Económica dos Limites da Responsabilidade Civil” (in English: “Economic Analysis of the limits of the Civil Liability”), published by Escolar Editora. He has more than seventeen years of professional experience in legal assistance and he is responsible for supervision of the teams of the Areas of Legal Practice, integrated by lawyers, and for legal assistance in Administrative Law, Procurement, Regulation, Licensing, Industrial Property, Banking, Exchange, Commercial, Real Estate, Tax, Labor, Immigration, Social Security, Insurance and Litigation.
António Albano Silva
António Albano Silva is a senior partner and founder of the firm. He is graduated in laws by Eduardo Mondlane University, he is lawyer and founder member of the Mozambican Bar Association. He is enrolled in the Mozambican Bar Association since 1994. He was a member of the National Institute of Legal Assistance, since its creation on 1986, he provides legal assistance since 1977 and has more than forty years of professional experience.
He is responsible for supervision of the teams of the Areas of Legal Practice, integrated by lawyers, and for legal assistance in Administrative Law, Procurement, Regulation, Licensing, Banking, Exchange, Commercial, Real Estate, Tax, Labor, Immigration, Social Security, Insurance and Litigation.
Nelson Sadoque Manhice
Nelson Sadoque Manhice is a partner of the firm. He is graduated in laws by the Technical University of Mozambique. He is a lawyer and he is enrolled in the Mozambican Bar Association since 2016. He is an Agent of Industrial Property, enrolled in the Institute of Industrial Property.
He is author of various articles of opinion on legal issues, including the collection of articles with the title “Discussing issues in the Mozambican Law” published by OmniScriptum S.R.L. and available in seven languages. He has more than ten years of professional experience in Administrative Law, Procurement, Regulation, Licensing, Industrial Property, Banking, Exchange, Commercial, Real Estate, Tax, Labor, Immigration, Social Security, Insurance and Litigation. He is the Coordinator of the Area of Legal Practices I in the firm.
